Jamaica Network Access Point Limited was founded in early 2003 by Dean Panton and Mark Reid, two returning Jamaican citizens with strong Jamaican family histories. JNAP was built as a “Carrier Neutral” Collocation/Data Storage Facility and Telecom/Data Interconnection Center located in the heart of New Kingston. This “Carrier Neutral” facility provides secure, redundant, and managed infrastructure for Carriers, Service Providers, and Enterprise Customers. Specific offerings are co-location, disaster recovery, data storage, managed services, cross-connectivity, switch/gateway port leasing, and peering network technology to the telecommunications, data and video industries. The goal is to insure broad based interconnectivity across all technology platforms. JNAP was taken over fully by Mark Reid (CEO) in December 2007 after the sudden death of his partner Dean Panton. Subsequent to Mr. Reid acquiring the company, he has dedicated his time in modernizing and restructuring JNAP with the development of new products to meet the requirements and demands of the market. As a result, JNAP now has a new management team and an expanded product portfolio, that has significantly broadened its client base.
JNAP client base includes a Central Bank, TV Companies, VOIP Carriers, Core Telecom companies and others that depend upon the reliability and protection of their mission critical applications and data.
